The Opportunity:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Marketing & Communications Advisor to join our team at Medicentres. Reporting to the Director of Communications & External Relations, you will collaborate with various business partners (Operations, Physician Services, Occupational Health) to play a key role in driving patient acquisition and engagement, physician recruiting, and occupational health growth, through the development and delivery of strategic marketing and communications initiatives. Your ability to craft compelling campaigns, share our mission and narrative, and connect with target audiences will be instrumental in growing our patient base and strengthening the Medicentres brand.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement integrated marketing strategies focused on: patient growth and retention (primary care and specialty), physician recruitment, and occupational health growth, that align with organizational objectives, enhance brand reputation, and build awareness of Medicentres’ unique value proposition.
  • Lead the development and implementation of marketing campaigns to promote Medicentres’ brand, services, and patient-focused initiatives across digital, social, media and traditional channels.
  • Create and deliver comprehensive marketing and communication strategies to effectively deliver key messages to internal and external groups.
  • Act as a media relations coordinator, responding to inquiries and in some cases representing Medicentres in interviews, while monitoring news and industry trends to manage reputational risk.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define key messages, target audiences, and communication channels.
  • Oversee the creation and dissemination of high-quality written and visual content, ensuring consistent messaging and brand voice across all channels.
  • Develop timely and effective response plans for urgent and crisis communication situations.

  • Research, analyze, and monitor industry trends and competitors to inform strategies and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Stay current with emerging marketing and communication trends, tools, and technologies, recommending innovative approaches to enhance effectiveness.
  • Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance, leveraging data-driven insights to optimize future efforts.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Post-secondary education in business, marketing or communication discipline or sufficient marketing and communications development knowledge and experience.
  • Work Experience: Minimum 5 years of previous experience in developing and executing B2B marketing communications, within a health care environment. Primary care experience is considered an asset.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products.  
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English, Bilingualism (French and English) is considered an asset

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling and concise messages for various audiences.
  • Proven expertise in social media strategy and content development, including managing platforms, driving engagement, and leveraging analytics to optimize performance.
  • Strong storytelling and presentation development skills, effectively communicating complex ideas and messages to diverse groups.
  • Experience in crisis communications and managing sensitive issues, demonstrating the ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and composure.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration, establishing rapport and credibility with colleagues and cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills, gathering and interpreting insights to inform marketing and communication strategies.
  • Creativity and innovation skills, objectively assessing the status quo and developing new approaches to achieve marketing and communication objectives.
  • Patient orientation - understanding patient needs and incorporating that perspective into all activities.
